Reliance Is Setting Up Gigafactories In India!

Reliance will build a total of 4 gigafactory facilities here in the near future. Our India's Reliance Industries plans to set up a gigafactory each for batteries, fuel cells, photovoltaic cells, and hydrogen at an investment of Rs. 60,000 crores over the next 3 years. Actually, this  gigafactory method was planed by Elon Musk is to keep 100 Gigafactory all over the world. Chairman and MD of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani, announced the above on Thursday while addressing the company’s 44th annual general meeting. And he added that a further Rs. 15,000 crores would be spent on future technologies, value chain and partnerships, taking the total investment in the planned new energy ecosystem to Rs. 75,000 crores. The Oil Firms are ready to sell E20 for use as vehicle fuel across India.

Here comes a piece of breaking news for the Automobiles, after approving the use of E20 as an alternative fuel for automobiles but earlier! This year, the Union government has decided to postpone the commencement of its sales from 2023 to 2025.

Oil marketing companies have been given the green light to sell E20, where E20 is a combination of petrol containing 20 percent of ethanol.

The Indian government had previously set 2030 as the goal year to achieve 20 percent ethanol blending in petrol for the use of gasoline vehicles. But now they changed it to 2023.

But, here comes the big deal, automakers would have to work more on new engine specifications for their vehicles to run on E20 fuel.

Because of BS6 emissions regulations, the retail cost of automobiles increased by a humongous amount in India. Coupled that with the disruption caused by COVID-19, sales of vehicles have reduced considerably since.

Then comes another deal for us, by 2023, Real Driving Emissions (RDE) norms will be put into effect, requiring cars to achieve emission targets. This will definitely result in getting vehicles even costlier than now.

Hence, we must be ready to face all the above factors in the upcoming years. But there is a chance of a reduction in fuel price.

So, I think you have got an idea about it!
